My Story

If you follow me on social media ( @katienoble___  ), you know that my health journey has not been an easy or a quick one. Since 2012, I have been working to improve my health by overcoming chronic illness, losing 80 pounds, and reducing anxiety. I believe in a holistic approach to getting healthy. I believe that it takes inner work to achieve meaningful and long-term success. I believe in bringing awareness to where you’ve been, where you’re going, and most importantly where you are. This is my story…

For a majority of my life, I was overweight and constantly dieting. I was also consistently sick, which meant a lot of antibiotics. At the age of 13, I started to experience daily anxiety and frequent panic attacks, which lead to binge eating habits and finding comfort in food. By the age of 19, I had reached my heaviest weight, started smoking cigarettes, and my diet consisted of fast food and packaged meals.

I finally hit my breaking point after an appointment with my doctor. She reminded me that I was overweight, diagnosed me with PCOS, and told me I was pre-diabetic. I decided to start working out and make small changes to my eating habits. The weight started to come off rather quickly and I was receiving positive recognition about my appearance for the first time in my life.

 

I felt my confidence increase temporarily, but I never felt at a state of peace with my body or who I was. Within a year, the weight loss came to a halt, exercise became less frequent, my nightly binge sessions still existed, I continued to smoke cigarettes, and my anxiety was heightened

I became fatigued, unable to eat, and lost an unhealthy amount of weight in a short period of time. It took about six months of doctors’ visits and tests before getting diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, an autoimmune disease that affects the colon and causes chronic inflammation. It left me with digestive issues, nutrient deficient, dependent on medication, and completely depressed. I had developed a negative outlook and overall attitude towards life.

I knew I had to take control of my health and start making myself and my health a priority. The truth is, this was about more than food. This was about never putting myself first, and always prioritizing the needs of others ahead of my own. This was about my negative belief system, my toxic environment, unstable relationships, and poor knowledge about nutrition.

It wasn’t until I fully committed to redesigning my lifestyle and improving my mindset, that I started to see MAJOR improvements physically and mentally. Over the last three years, I have implemented a plant-heavy eating style, mindfulness exercises, consistent exercise, and healthier lifestyle habits. I’ve learned the importance of filling my own cup first, so that I can fully be there for others.

 

These behavior changes have allowed me to get off my medication, manage my chronic illness, find love for my body in all of its forms, create a healthy relationship with food, reduce anxiety, and shift my mindset from self-shaming, to self-empowering.

At the end of the day we all want to thrive in this one life we are given. We all want to show up feeling vibrant, energized, and confident. We want to feel beautiful in our own skin and love who we see in the mirror. We want to wake up feeling energized and ready to take on the day. We want to eat nourishing foods, without giving up the satisfaction of flavor or feeling deprived. We want to naturally maintain our weight and stop “falling off track”. This freedom is entirely possible and I want you to have it too!

My passion is to support and guide other women to achieve meaningful and long-term health success by focusing on healing nutrition, sustainable lifestyle habits, and creating a powerful mindset. Going through my health journey is what ignited my passion and sent me on the path of turning it into a career. The best decision I ever made was to leave community college and enroll in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Graduating from their program not only gave me knowledge, but it has helped me personally grow and develop in ways I never thought I could. Now, I am ready to help other women tap into their power and  live up to their highest potential.
